Following the success of the previous two winter schools on Molecular Materials and Functions (WS-MMF-2023, WS-MMF-2024), we are going to host the third Winter School (WS-MMF-2025) this year. Welcome to the WS-MMF-2025! We are thrilled to invite you to attend our upcoming 3rd Winter School, to be held from the 1sth to 5th of December, 2025, where you will have the opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in molecular materials and functions from leading experts, from all over the world.  We are sure that this year’s event (WS-MMF-2025) will continue to serve and fulfil the participants’ enthusiasm.

Our Winter School is designed to provide students and researchers with:

  • a unique learning experience,
  • a combination of lectures, workshops, and
  • hands-on activities.

This Winter School caters even to a student who’s just starting his/her academic journey, and also to an early career scholar, or a seasoned researcher. Our faculty comprises experts in molecular materials and functions, who are committed to sharing their knowledge, tools, and solutions with the next generation of researchers. During the Winter School, you will have the opportunity to learn from these experts through engaging lectures and interactive workshops and also, collaborate with other students and researchers from around the world. In addition to the academic program, we also offer social events and excursions, which provide the perfect opportunity to explore the local area and network with other attendees in an informal setting. Our Winter School is being held in one of the most premier academic institutes of India, providing the perfect backdrop for a memorable and productive learning experience. We believe that our Winter School is an excellent opportunity for students and researchers to enhance their knowledge and skills, to connect with other individuals who share their passion for molecular materials and functions, and to foster friendships. We encourage you to join us and take advantage of this unique opportunity to learn, collaborate, and network with experts in the field. We look forward to welcoming you to our Winter School (WS-MMF-2025), and to supporting you as you pursue your academic and professional goals.

Organizing Institute

IIT Madras is a public, technical, and research university, responsible for academic activities which include Teaching, Research, and Industrial Consultancy. It is located in Chennai, India. It has been the top-ranking engineering institute in India for the past 8 years in the NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) Rankings since this ranking system was announced in 2015, by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD).

Key Sponsor

The Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF, formerly Science and Engineering Research Board) are the two agencies within the Ministry of Science and Technology in the Government of India that promote scientific research and development. DST was established in May 1971 to promote new areas of science and technology.  It provides funds to various approved scientific projects in India.

The SWAYAM PRABHA is a group of 40 DTH channels devoted to telecasting of high-quality educational programmes on 24X7 basis using the GSAT-15 satellite. Every day, there will be new content for at least (4) hours which would be repeated 5 more times in a day, allowing the students to choose the time of their convenience. The channels are uplinked from BISAG-N, Gandhinagar. The contents are provided by IITs, UGC, CEC, IGNOU and University of Hyderabad. The INFLIBNET Centre maintains the web portal.
